Mark These Words, Preaching Mark's Gospel

An Ecumenical day for all Lay and Local Preachers, Readers and Ministers

From 10.00 - 14.00 at Victoria Hall Methodist Church, Norfolk Street, Sheffield S1 2JB

Rev Prof David Wilkinson and Team from St John's College, Durham.

A day looking at the theological and practical issues involved in preaching Mark’s Gospel, with a mixture of lectures and small group discussions allowing you to meet and share ideas with other preachers. The day will begin with an overview of the theology of Mark’s Gospel, before looking at specific issues relating to preaching. Example sermons will also be delivered during the day to generate discussion and to spark ideas.

Designed for those who preach and with the coming lectionary in mind, but all who are inter- -ested are welcome.

Cost £12.50pp, drinks provided. Please bring own lunch.
